La abogada, que ya venía colaborando con el despacho, ha desarrollado su más reciente actividad investigadora dentro del ámbito de la Inteligencia Artificial en la Justicia Administrativa, formando parte del grupo de expertos formado para desarrollar la Carta de Derechos Digitales.
Susana (en la foto) tiene una reconocida trayectoria como abogada en el sector público y en el ámbito de la Sociedad Digital. Es profesora de Derecho Administrativo en la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha desde 2003. Entre 2012 y 2014 fue directora general del Instituto de la Cinematografía y de las Artes Audiovisuales (ICAA) y entre 2016 y 2019 ejerció como letrada del Gabinete Técnico del Tribunal Supremo (Sala de lo Contencioso-Administrativo).
Formada en las Universidades de Cantabria y Bayreuth (Alemania), entre 2010 y 2012 lideró el equipo español en el proyecto europeo MEDIADEM y sus líneas de investigación se han desarrollado principalmente en los ámbitos de la Justicia Administrativa, el Derecho Comparado, el Derecho Cultural (en particular, el Cine) y los Medios de Comunicación.

The law firm Gabeiras & Asociados has incorporated Susana de la Sierra as of counsel, to coordinate the area of digital society and fundamental rights. The lawyer, who had already been collaborating with the firm, has developed her most recent research activity in the field of artificial intelligence in administrative justice and is part of the group of experts for the elaboration of a Charter of Digital Rights.

De la Sierra has a recognized career as a lawyer in the public sector and in the area of digital society. She has been a Professor of Administrative Law at the University of Castilla-La Mancha since 2003. Between 2012 and 2014 she was Director General of the Instituto de la Cinematografía y de las Artes Audiovisuales (ICAA) and between 2016 and 2019 she served as Counsel of the Technical Office of the Supreme Court (Contentious-Administrative Chamber).

In addition to research, she has taught in various degrees, postgraduate courses and specialized seminars. She shares the opinion of those who consider that the University has a social function of the first order and that this is specifically reflected in the classroom, where beyond transmitting knowledge, critical analysis of (legal) reality, independence in learning and the value of effort should be exercised (in ideal conditions, probably).

Susana de la Sierra holds a PhD in Legal Sciences from the European University Institute of Florence and has a recognized career as a lawyer in the public sector and in the area of digital society. Professor of Administrative Law at the University of Castilla-La Mancha since 2003, she was General Director of the Instituto de la Cinematografía y de las Artes Audiovisuales and has also worked as a lawyer in the Technical Office of the Supreme Court, in the Contentious-Administrative Chamber.
Trained at the Universities of Cantabria and the German University of Bayreuth, between 2010 and 2012 she led the Spanish team in the European project called MEDIADEM. Its objective: to review European media policies in order to achieve free and independent media in contemporary democracies. Her lines of research have been developed mainly in the fields of administrative justice, comparative law, cultural law (in particular, cinema) and media.
